MFG G1-5060S Semi-Automatic Horizontal Band Saw

Double-Column Architecture, 3-Speed Worm Gear Drive & 3-Way Hydraulic Bundle Clamping

Product Overview
The MFG G1-5060S is a heavy-duty, semi-automatic horizontal straight-cutting band saw engineered for high-efficiency industrial metal fabrication. Designed to process large metal profiles, tubes, and solid materials such as heavy steel billets, this machine provides a reliable cutting solution for the metallurgy, automotive, mold-making, and shipbuilding industries.

Built upon a highly rigid double-column structure, the G1-5060S utilizes a bi-metal band saw blade to deliver narrow kerfs and minimal material waste. Equipped with stepless hydraulic feeding and an advanced 3-way clamping system, it ensures exceptional stability and precision for both single-piece and batch-bundle production.

Key Features & Engineering Details

  • Rigid Double-Column Structure: The saw frame lifting mechanism is guided by a heavy-duty cylindrical main column, supported by a square sub-column with a specialized guiding sleeve. The entire bow-shaped saw frame is constructed from high-quality welded steel plates that undergo post-weld aging treatment to eliminate internal stress and guarantee long-term structural rigidity.
  • 3-Way Hydraulic Bundle Clamping: The flat workbench features a primary hydraulic vise (fixed right jaw, movable left jaw driven by a cylinder). Crucially, it is equipped with a separable hydraulic upper clamping cylinder. This creates a secure 3-way clamping mechanism that completely prevents material from loosening, allowing for the simultaneous, highly efficient cutting of multiple or multi-layer workpieces (bundle cutting).
  • Worm Gear Transmission & 3 Speeds: The main drive consists of a main motor, a high-torque worm gearbox, and balanced saw wheels. Operators can adjust the V-belt on the pulley system to easily switch between three distinct cutting speeds, optimizing the machine for various ferrous and non-ferrous material hardness levels.
  • Tungsten Carbide Blade Guides: The saw band is strictly guided by a combination of heavy-duty bearings and tungsten steel alloy (carbide) inserts, minimizing blade friction and lateral twist. The guide arm can be manually locked at varying distances to stay as close to the workpiece as possible, maximizing blade rigidity and cutting accuracy.
  • Stepless Hydraulic Feed Regulation: The integrated hydraulic station controls the lifting of the saw frame and workpiece clamping. Through a precise speed control valve, operators can achieve stepless speed regulation of the downward feeding speed to match different material densities and cross-sections.
  • Manual Blade Tensioning: The machine utilizes a reliable manual screw and slider mechanism to drive the follower wheel, generating the necessary friction and tension between the band saw blade and the wheel rim for stable rotary motion.
  • Integrated Coolant & Sweeping System: The heavy-duty plate-welded bed foot includes a built-in coolant pool for continuous blade lubrication and cooling. A mechanical sweeping device automatically removes chip accumulation from the blade teeth to extend blade life.
Cutting material Band saw blade linear speed(m/min) Sawing efficiency(cm2/min)
Low carbon steel, low carbon alloy steel 90-45 70-40
Medium carbon steel, alloy steel 75-35 60-35
High carbon steel, nickel-molybdenum steel, silicomanganese steel 55-35 45-25
Stainless steel, alloy tool steel 50-20 40-20
Nickel alloy Nov-33 10-20
Titanium alloy 5-18 10-20

Remark: The band saw blade line speed slows down as the width of the material being cut increases.
