MFG CJM280 series light metal lathe is an advanced, industrial-grade solution designed for precision machining and high-efficiency turning operations. Providing a 280mm maximum swing over bed and a generous 38mm spindle bore diameter, this versatile bench lathe is available in two center-distance models: 500mm (CJM280/500) and 750mm (CJM280/750).

Driven by an all-gear patented headstock transmission and a 750W motor, it combines widened high-frequency quenched guideways with ergonomic industrial controls to ensure superior cutting rigidity, absolute precision, and long-term durability.

• Patented All-Gear Drive & 8-Speed Headstock: The headstock utilizes a premium full mechanical gear transmission with oil-bath circulation. Featuring patented technology, it supports 8-speed steps from 90 to 1800 rpm to deliver continuous, high-torque power output for heavy-duty or delicate cutting tasks.
• Widened & High-Frequency Quenched Guideways: Built on a robust cast-iron bed featuring a double-V and double-flat widened guideway system. The ways are high-frequency quenched and precision-ground, drastically improving structural rigidity, anti-vibration capabilities, and alignment life.
• 12-Speed Quick-Change Feed Gearbox: Equipped with an integrated 12-speed variable feed gearbox that fully covers common thread pitches without the need for constant manual gear reconfigurations. It cuts 18 Metric threads (0.2~3.5mm), 34 Imperial threads (4-1/2~48 T.P.I), 16 Modulus threads (0.2~1.75M.P), and 24 Diametral Pitch threads (16~120 D.P).
• Bi-Directional Power Feed with Safety Interlock: Fully supports both longitudinal and cross automatic power feeds. An integrated safety interlocking mechanism protects the machine against accidental simultaneous engagement, ensuring reliable and secure operation.
